Traveling to Colorado can be enjoyable for everyone. There is much to see and do. Colorado’s 4-season climate offers many different activities in every season.
Colorado is home to some of the best big game hunting in the US. It also has some of the best freshwater fishing. Colorado has many species of big game including elk, Dahl sheep, whitetail deer, mule deer, and black bear. Colorado is one of the best venues for hunting because it has copious amounts of mountains and trees to house many animals. Colorado has the largest elk and deer in the country. With Dahl sheep roaming the mountaintops and black bears running through the trees, it’s no wonder why Colorado attracts many of the world’s best hunters. Colorado doesn’t only attract hunters; fishermen are drawn to Colorado’s streams and lakes for great trout, bass, and pike fishing. The Grand Mesa alone has over 300 lakes.
If hunting and fishing are not your things, Colorado has other attractions such as football and baseball games. Colorado is home to the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. Colorado’s Pikes Peak is a very famous tourist attraction that is 14,114 feet high. Avid hikers are challenged by the many trails. Also located in Colorado is the Grand Mesa, the largest mesa in the world at 11,332 feet in elevation.
Colorado is also famous for skiing, with many mountains; there are a lot of options on where to go. If skiing is not your thing, you can take a trip to Elitch Gardens Theme Park or watch a Rockies game at Coors Field. If that is still not your thing, you can walk through the Denver Zoo or Denver Botanic Gardens.
At the end of the day, you can feast on fresh venison or opt for many of Colorado’s local restaurants. As you can see there are many things to do in Colorado and there is something for everyone.
